I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The location is absolutely stunning, with lush natural surroundings and excellent wildlife viewing opportunities. The rooms were clean and quite comfortable, but I encountered issues with maintenance. Dining left much to be desired as it felt overpriced for the limited buffet options. The service was inconsistent; while some staff were friendly, my experience with the front desk was disappointing. Overall, it has great potential but needs improvement in service and dining variety.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms were clean and comfortable, though the first one I experienced had maintenance issues like a broken shower and non-functioning AC. After switching to a suite, the experience was better, albeit with some outlet problems.
Service
5.0
Service was hit or miss. While some staff were super friendly, I found the front desk to be much more serious and unhelpful during a payment inquiry, which was very frustrating.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location is perfect for nature lovers, surrounded by beautiful rainforest, a volcano, and natural thermal pools. It’s ideal for seeing wildlife up close.
Dining
5.0
Dining was not great, with a lack of variety and somewhat overpriced for the quality offered. The buffet was basic and did not live up to my expectations.
Facilities
6.0
The facilities, including pools heated with mineral springs, are beautiful but could have been better maintained as I encountered algae in one of the pools.

Our stay was quite an adventure, as we were excited to explore Costa Rica. While the hotel had some nice facilities and the pools looked inviting, the dining experience left a lot to be desired with limited options. The service was friendly overall, but the front desk staff could use some improvement. The location felt a bit crowded at times, but we did enjoy some beautiful surroundings.

Rooms
5.0
The rooms were dated and could definitely use some modern updates. We had a view from our room, but it lacked amenities like a mini-fridge or coffee maker, which would have been helpful.
Service
7.0
Most of the staff were attentive and friendly, but the front desk staff had a more serious demeanor, which was a bit off-putting.
Location
6.0
The location had beautiful trees and a small river nearby, although it was crowded with non-guests enjoying the facilities. It was really wonderful to spot toucans around.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience was lacking variety, and the food was not impressive for the price we paid. It really put a damper on our stay.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel offered nice facilities like large hot and cold pools, but the muddy paths made it less appealing. We didn't get to use the tennis court, which appeared neglected.

This hotel has a beautiful natural setting with lovely grounds and the charm of wildlife like toucans. While the pools are pleasant, there are maintenance issues that can't be overlooked. The food can be hit or miss, and I had some trouble with my room, including water pressure issues. Overall, it's a decent place, but it could use better upkeep and improvements in service.

Rooms
6.0
Our room was furnished with two double beds and basic amenities, but it felt outdated and had some issues with water pressure during our stay.

Service was a mixed bag; some staff were friendly, but I experienced slow service in the dining area, which made meals drag on.

Dining

The dining options were mostly buffet-style with decent food, but I found the variety lacking during my stay.

The hotel features several pools and a tennis court, but they could use more attention to keep them welcoming.

I had a mixed experience at the hotel. While the check-in was quick and the hot spring pools were a highlight, the rooms felt outdated and lacked basic amenities like air conditioning and modern updates. The dining options were decent but on the expensive side. Overall, the location was beautiful, but service issues left a bad taste in my mouth.

Rooms

The rooms were outdated and in need of modern updates, plus I missed having a mini fridge and a coffee maker since there was no room service.

The hotel is well-situated near a stunning rainforest and volcano area, perfect for wildlife viewing. The pools were warm and soothing, making for a refreshing experience. However, the dining options were costly with questionable quality, and the service at the front desk could be improved significantly during stressful situations. Additionally, the rooms felt dated and lacked basic amenities like a mini fridge.

Rooms
6.0
The rooms felt quite dated and could benefit from modern updates. They were furnished with two double beds, a dresser, and basic amenities, but the absence of a mini fridge or coffee maker was disappointing, especially with no room service available.
Service
5.0
The service from most staff was friendly and accommodating, but my experience at the front desk was frustrating, especially during a family emergency. Instead of understanding our situation, I felt blamed for a pending charge, which was unpleasant.
Location
9.0
The location was fantastic, nestled in the rainforest close to Arenal and other natural attractions. It was a great spot for viewing toucans and other wildlife nearby.
Dining
5.0
Dining was on the pricey side and not particularly impressive in quality. The buffet dinner felt overpriced for what was offered, and we opted to seek better dining options elsewhere during our stay.
Facilities
7.0
The facilities included nice pools that were warm and well-maintained, but I found the options limited for families and children. Some pool chairs were broken, which detracted from the experience.
